My autumn set broad beans are just showing their first set of flowers. Which is nice.

Some of my broad beans which are very short probably only 8 inches also have flowers on.  Is it not to early for them to come to anything.  Do they need bees to pollinate them.  I have sown some additional beans in the greenhouse to fill in gaps and keep some in the greenhouse.

hopefully putting mine in next week or so didnt do any over winter my plot neighbour did and only fed the local wild life
