Title: Hi From High Peak, Derbyshire (new veg grower)
Post by: Neil Ogden on July 21, 2017, 19:35
Hi all, I have just completed builing and filling up the raised beds shown in the picture using some scrap wood from work, filled with a mix of Pete compost and Vermiculite. They are based at the bottom of my garden (now being called my Allotment)
The beds are:
4 x 4
6 x 3
11 x 4
2 x 4 - (next to the wall)
I will be visiting the site and probably picking some brains in the near future,
Talk soon.

hi
smart beds! easier to tackle one area at a time. the convenience of being at home is great.
a warning just popping down the garden often means 1 hour later.... I just saw this needed doing......

Welcome to the site and what a good start  :D

You'll need to keep a watch on the drainage with the added vermiculite

Good morning Neil and welcome to the forum. How good would it be to have your growing area at the end of your garden??? (Envy, here!) Looks like you are well organised already and there is loads to plant/sow still at this time in the year.

Raising your greenhouse height is an excellent idea, not only so you don't hit your own head, but also provides a taker growing space, which equals extra trusses of tomatoes hehehehe
