Freezing spinach
« on: July 09, 2008, 12:20 »
I have tons of spinach that I would like to harvest before it bolts. I assume it needs to be blanched first (?) but, as it's so delicate, how long do I blanch it for before freezing? It seems to cook in seconds as it is!
First timer, NOT enjoying the backache anymore!

I don't bother with that. Also, for future, this is something that can stand in the winter and available fresh.

I too have lots.

If you look on CookUK it tells you how to freeze spinach along with lots of other veg.

I'll be doing mine this weekend.

Charlotte. :)
