leg rings ?
« on: August 13, 2011, 08:41 »
hi everyone

I've bought some coloured spiral leg rings for my girls so i can tell them apart,  i thought they'd be very soft and flexible but there hard and if you try and spiral them around your finger they stretch so misshape which i don't think would be good on the girls legs.

is there a knack to putting them on, tried on my finger first so i know what i'm doing when i comes to the girls.

which leg rings do you find are best and easiest to put on and stay on the girls  ?

thanks

We got the ones that clip together from Pets at Home.  They do occasionally come off but we have put one on each leg which give you time to put the other back on.

You are probably having difficulty as your finger will be thicker than the hens legs.  Try putting them on a stick the same size as the hens legs.  ;)
