Sweet peas stopped in their tracks....

Evening all

My sweet peas have struggled to about 2ft tall and now something's chewing off the tops. Can't be slugs that high up (can it?). Anyone any ideas? Haven't had this before...

I never knew that slugs/snails would climb up the sweeet peas!!!! Cheeky devils, after all the trouble I took to grow them!  Something has also cut two of mine off at the very bottom, but they were just left on the ground, not eaten. What could it be? Does anyone know?
Try to be organic but will use black fly killer and a few slug pellets if desperate.

The little devils will get anywhere GB, I have 2 big hayracks on the back house wall, and one I put over to my tumbling tom tomatoes.  Something not only ate and destroyed 3 of the four toms, but also most of the marigolds I planted in there to help protect the toms from nasties!!!!

Rabbits do that to runner beans.

Isn't it time sweet peas flowered? What I have left after the slugs ate the others are growing strongly - rather slower than before I think - but no sign of buds. Are they too cold and wet?
