As mentioned on another thread, this machine seems to need weights, to prevent  it "hop,skip, and jumping" on hard ground, or even cultivated ground

I've used the Maxtra a few times now, and been experimenting with weights, I bolted an old ex wd ammo box on the front, with a bag of sand in it



The "optium" weight appears to be around 20-25 lbs, much more than this, and it gets "nose" heavy, needing downward pressure on the handlebars, and thats "tiring"
I've found this weight nearly eliminates the jumping.......so shall be hunting round my local scrapyard for a chunk of metal about the 25lb mark

Would be intersested to know if any other owners have done any/or similar mods

Hi, which direction do the rotors turn when looking from the side we can see?.
If they turn clockwise,they look to be on backwards and need swopping side for side so the tips don't hit the ground first.

Well spotted! Dave, that never even occurred to me..
Have now swapped em around and shall try it out again in the next coupla days, thanks

First trial today with rotor blades round the "right" way

It actually "rotovates" a whole lot better!.......tried it without weights, still jumps, with weights (22lb) a pretty smooth drive all round

You can use some concrete mix and steel rods to make weight.
