[sweet nasturtium]

I have seen this object for sale, and I am new to growing, planting digging and also, shopping for the huge amount of equipment you seem to need.

I haven't got money to buy petrol equipment and I quite like doing things by hand so I have considered buying this item.

It looks like a manual push lawnmower, except has nasty looking vertical blades.

I welcome any piece of equipment which will help me to bring my plot up to the standard of my neighbours, who have a 20 year head start.

I am afraid I have not seen these, but I am guessing they would be hard work if you have to push them.

We had one many years ago called /made by Jalo they are ok if the soil has been well worked for years, but very hard work on the virgin soil.  however i am sure lots of people will give good advice. Good luck.

Jalo were a company going strong in the 60-70's with their manual tiller.

They have been on sale for weeks and there are still plenty in the shops so I guess no-one finds them much use, but I'm still curious.  I guess it would have the effect of a hoe, but on a larger scale?  Or maybe a rake?
Let's hope that someone has tried one and can advise.
