Mine are sheltered by the fence so only get a little sunshine during the day

Hmmm. I've noticed several of these have come up this spring in one of my beds that I weeded out a bit last year. A hardy, attractive plant is just what I need!  :D

My MIL brought some round for me about a fortnight ago.  They did come complete with a big lump of earth attached mind you so I just kind of unceremoniously dumped them into a "scrape" I made and watered them.  Looked out today and they look so fresh and green and perky - and one is starting to flower too.

A couple of years ago, after weeding a flower bed and thinning the Lilly of the Valley a little, I planted up a small ornamental wooden wheel-barrow with L of V. This spring it is chock-a-block full of flowers ready to bloom...looks gorgeous!     :)

As long as it has some shade it does well being a woodland plant.  ;)

More than it should have done given the state of the leaves, which were very scorched and faded  ::)

I must carry a camera with me - I never have one when I want to take a picture... when I do carry one it rains or is too dark!!

Dark pictures on their way.... later. LoV in bloom.......almost!  :)
