Planning on doing some breads in flowerpots, I have some pot ones from the garden centre. Do I need to fire them first before using them? I seem to recall that you need to do something with them before baking?

Well came across the seasoning bit for pots Val thanks, and here it is, the recipe will do 4 of these, this is chorizo and pine nuts, and very very scrummy...

Also I think it's supposed to give a better crust and it's an interesting way to get kids into participating in baking.

It's lovely to use the really tiny pots to do individual rolls as well, kids adore them (me too)

Its the Heston factor, when I brought them out last night everyone thought it was great, and tasted great, like you say poolfield2 its fun. I will pop the recipe on Val, but the dough was made in a breadmaker.
