Have'nt been fishing for so many years now,,, I used to love it, my dad and uncle Jim were my fishing and shooting buds, uncle Jim has gone now miss him so much, he got me my first cartridge belts after I saved up for my first pump action shot gun. Gave up my shot gun certificate when my munchkins came along   Might get me a rod again though.

Was born in Cleethorpes - not much of a beach by all accounts now munty as it's turning into a salt marsh!  Don't know whey they're suprised as it's all along that coast.

Great Yarmouth - my mother hails from there and it's better than Cleethorpes i would say but not my cup of tea but then to be fair i would rather a trip to the country than the beach.  Probably comes from growing up near the beach

the marsh is taking over at humberstone end mate but its stil ok in the cleethorpes adventure park to grimsby way , you cant dig worm anymore without postcode address, they shut grimsby beach down and opened cleethorpes in the winter for digging you can still launch a boat from tha bottom of the dolphin slip tho thank god ,your not allowed to park along there tho ,,, dum asses say its dangerous to pedestrians in winter walking around the vehicle 's what the frig do that do in the summer then?

Anybody know of a good campsite in north Norfolk? I went to Wells once and I liked it but the site was a bit big. Likes seeing the seals and all that.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

LOLOL Munty...NELC are priceless.  How on earth are you expected to launch a craft without backing your trailer down.  I suppose it's safer for you and two others to manoeuvre your trailer by hand down the slip with no control.

I always thought that Humberstone Fitties was salt marsh (Fitties was Lincolnshire word for Salt Marsh) - at the Creek anyways.

Wasn't there something about the impact that bait diggers had on salt marsh  forming?   Apparently the reduction in this was sighted as one of the reasons for the encroaching salt marsh threatening to engulf the whole of Cleethorpes Beach and affecting Tourism and Businesses.   The RSPB think that twitchers will replace sunbathers.  Also something to do with the breakwaters too.

To be honest  i'm surprised that anything grows there with all that the Humber Bank pumps out.
