Less breezy than yesterday which was a bit of a mixed bag of sun, showers and bit of quite cool weather - seeing as it is supposed to be summer    The sky looks brighter today as well

Unaccustomedly muggy at 26C but forecast to return to normal after tomorrow

What a  bonkers night/ early morning we had!! Storms roled in around 5am right on top of us  house was shaking.
With the storm came the rain, the rain gauge recorded 30mm in a 4 1/2 hour slot, roads were flooded, gardens were flooded.
starting to brighten up now.

That storm hit us a little earlier - about 15mm of rain . The lightning didn't take out the router this time.. but it's killed the telephone

Had a lovely warm sunny morning but sky turned black a few minutes ago and now we have a torrential downpour. Oh well!

Beautiful, calm, sunny day since 7am. Peaked at 20C but stayed around 18C all day. The world is upside down with Cumbria getting better weather than all you southerners

Good news is that it's a very mild 16C out there. 

Bad news is that it's 0750 and still very dark and very wet.

It was raining that heavily in the wee small hours that it woke me up! 37.8mm in the last 24hrs
14 degrees though, so not awful

Anyone else had almighty thunderstorms and hail today?

They were forecast, but all we got was drizzle all day 

It did get quite chilly today so heating went on low for a couple of hours (helps dry the washing!)
