I've always loved acers since we had one growing up.

I'm wanting to get one for my garden but I don't want anything that will overly shade (as the tatties and sweetcorn wont like it!). Any ideas on the best cultivar of acer? I'm wanting something that is a slow grower and will not go much higher than 3 metres.

Acer Atropurpureum seems to be a low grower?
