Where do you hang yours?
« on: July 14, 2013, 09:02 »
Not sure if I've picked the right section but.... ???

I've dug up and dried some shallots from my garden and have just plaited them (little did I know that all of those years of doing French plaits in the 90's would come in handy this way!!!), I just wondered if there is any preference as to where to hang them now? I have to say, I'm VERY proud of them  :D

My husband's a water sign, I'm an earth sign, together we make mud :-)

My gardening diary is here - go on, have a peek , you might be able to help me!

Well done - they need to be hung somewhere that is cool and dry - when I grew onions I used my garage. If you have a shady shed that would also work.  :)

If there are any left by winter, make sure you don't leave them out in the shed during prolonged frost as they may go mushy.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
