Title: Sheen x500 flame gun

Hi everyone,
just got myself a Sheen X500 flame gun through Freecycle, thinking it was kinder to the soil than weed killer and bound to be more fun :D .
the trouble is it only works pointing upwards, when it is pointed at the weeds it goes out. Does anyone have any ideas what might be amiss with it?

yea I watched that video after I got it home to see how to use it, cos there were no instructions.

its a blocked jet or dodgy valve/ fuel pick up problem. should be simply/cheap to fix. :D

I phone the manufacturers up, who advised me it was probably a blocked filter.
Soon there advice I dismantled it, but unfortunately the valve was pushed on to the pipe at one end and fell apart instead of unscrewing, so now I need to remove the old threaded bar from the valve, thread some more pipe and cut and join it all together to make it the right length.
