In the last 18 momnths ive been making up a decent rotavator set.
I got a Merry Tiller with a 2.5 HP engine last year - £75
The price of them has gone stupid since then. Merry Tillers with all basic parts there except for a working engine now fetch £50-£75. Average working ones are £150-£175.
Then theres the bits.
Tines now fetch £50 a pair. Depth skids alone are worth £20. Ridger tools are worth £30-£40
Drioev wheels are worse. Ive bee dtrying to get a pair, ive bid on three pairs, all went for about £90-£100. Then I bid on a knackered Merry Tiller that came with wheels, it went for £100. Another pair of wheels then went for £90, even though there was a pair finishing nect day with a buy it now price of £60!!!
So i bought them.
Two years ago, you could pick up a Rotavator for £25, not any more.

Do you not think BostonInbred that it coincides with the growth in the grow your own movement. There's more people wanting to buy, hence theres a market.

Yes, thats what im getting at, the demand has rocketed, but its also that some people dont know when to stop bidding in an auction!!
Why would you bid £90 for a pair of wheels when theres an almost identical pair on a Buy It Now price of £60? Madness!!!
