Title: Its a hit
Post by: Aidy on October 20, 2019, 13:23

Decided to have a go at making squash sausages using one of my crown prince squashes.
Gave a piece to various peeps and all but one loved it
Searched the net for a recipe but nowt came up so made my own, how hard can it be  :D
Dead easy...
1/2 squash peeled cut into chunks n roasted
1/2 onion chopped fairy fine.
1/2 red pepper cut into small pieces.
1Teaspoon tomato powder
1Teaspoon onion powder
1Teaspoon rosemary powder
1Teaspoon thyme powder.
1/2Teaspoon garlic powder
1/2Teaspoon salt
1/2Teaspoon blackpepper
1Teaspoon smoked chilli powder

Basicly roasted squash then cut up with a knife into small chunks, put them in a large baking tray, sprinkled the seasoning over, drizzled some olive oil and gave a stir, sweated off the onion and red pepper then added to the squash, mixed in and leave to cool (cold).
Last step is the easy bit, fill the skins with the mix.
Other half of the squash made soup for tea tonight.

Well there's an idea for 1/2 of one of my half dozen CPs! Thanks Aidy
