Title: Mulberry is it worth it?
Post by: londongardener on November 29, 2018, 15:29
I have a Mulberry tree which is in a pot and I am thinking of moving to my allotment as it has never fruited
A) Any advice on how to?
B) Are Mulberry's worth the effort?  What do they taste like?

Are Mulberry's worth the effort?  What do they taste like?

Pretty sour and inedible raw, but obviously heat and sugar transform them into a nice pud.

Tbh I would say it is a tree to have if you have room, but you could get far more cooking fruit in less space from a cultivated blackberry or a boysenberry trained along posts and wires.
