saw this beuty at a local school,it is made from recycled plastic 3l bottles, the bottoms sliced off and threaded onto bamboo stix one on top of the other, dispite the gaps it was suprisingly warm inside.

Love the idea but if i save up 300 odd pop bottles to make one i wont fit thru the door after ive finished lol :D
-
You could try bottled water Manlea
-
Now thats a thought :D
-
there is a webite showing how to make it but I have forgot the name of it
-
found it http://www.reapscotland.org.uk/reports/greenhouse%20v1.pdf :)

I want one...it's stunning but not sure what the other plot holders would make of it...they don't like my tyre planters
-
it would take me an age to save up the bottles! nice idea but it wouldn't go down well in my allotment as they give me evils for my recycled roof latt munty frame! :(
-
What a wonderful project that was! I bet the children will never forget that. :)
-
You can buy them, this is one being delivered (http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c176/Codswolop/img005.jpg)

wow that green house is fantastic!!

I think I may have to build one of them for my garden and put it up next to my neighbours fence. He doesn't even like the proper glass one thats already there.
-
Brilliant ;)
Bet it would look good using different coloured bottles, would also help with shading the sun if it got too strong ???

My goodness, and I thought I had problems!!!

What a beauty!
Now... if it was possible to use whole bottles filled with water then it would get warm
during the day and stay warmish all night. (maybe) Grow warm weather plants in winter. Hmmm.... any clues anyone?

What a brilliant idea for a greenhouse. Its probably not practical for the likes of us, it would mean drinking an awfull lot of fizzy pop. But at a school it would work a treat, just get the kids to bring in there used pop botttles & 300+ would be there before you new it.

somebody near here simply put a wanted post on our freecycle and left a bin outside their house for the bottles to be dropped into, think they got their amount needed pretty quickly :)
