I have an old peach tree which seems to be struggling this year.

The leaves were yellow in the spring and I pruned a large branch out in May and have noticed over the last couple of weeks that it appears to be suffering with greenfly and whitefly infestation.

I hosed the tree down which seemed to make a difference at the time, but I also noticed that I disturbed a couple of lacewings, so stopped trying to do anything in the hope that the predators would get the pests under control. I now have at least three (rather fat!) ladybirds that have moved in, but the greenfly population doesn't seem to be dropping very quickly, if at all.

Is there anything anyone can recommond to give my tree a chance or will the lacewings and ladybirds eventually beat the greenfly? They do seem to be rather outnumbered
