Title: Poorly hen - update
Post by: e_hothersall on June 30, 2009, 19:20
Well, after a week of seeming better Hannibal suddenly seemed much worse last night and this afternoon my husband found her moribund in the rain. We brought her inside but sadly she died an hour or so later. She was absolutely stick thin, much easier to see once she wasn't struggling. And she never gave any hint what was wrong - no wheezing, diarrhoea or anything else, right to the end. So fingers crossed for the other 3 girls, who have stayed well and laying throughout, and thanks to those of you who offered advice (Vember and Woodside Farm).

Hopefully my next post will be more cheerful!

Sorry about your sad loss  :(

Fingers crossed for the others  :)

You had rain today?????
Wish we had some rain then I wouldn't have to water the garden tonight.

Rained most of the day in the Midlands. Hope you get some soon.

Face has escaped and is currently leaving yellow poo in next door's garden. Think it's time to call the vet, assuming I ever manage to get her home again...
