Title: Greenhouse growing in winter
Post by: Amilo on May 05, 2012, 15:44
A few months ago there was a few posts about early planting, well as an experiment I planted carrots in the green house at Christmas time, we have been away from home for the last 3 months and when we arrived home a week ago I was pleasantly surprised to find I had a nice crop of baby carrots.

The green house is unheated and no auto watering system, just raised beds and natural ground brining in the water.

We have done the same before now in our poytunnel, albeit with some watering assistance. Presumably they obtained water from the soil, being in raised beds? :)
