it is for use on ornamental plants and turf, not for veg and it looks as if it is for the industry

Its one used by the farmers on crops. Supplied by establishments such as my place of work.

Pesticide register entry is here.

For professional use only so not legal for an amateur to buy, store or use it.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

And that's just how it should be for products not designed for the amateur gardener  :)

I agree but some of our old lotty guys obsess about the stuff, and they put it on their veg

If you google Dursban you come up with Bhopal!!! It seems odd to me that the more dangerous a pesticide is the more some of the guys want to use it, irrespective of the fact that they have children and grandkids.

Read the articles on Dursban and associated spin-offs, eg Equity before you use the stuff

The dangerous part is probably not eating vegetables treated with it but the danger to  the person handling it.

I do not know the details of dursban but similar chemicals require protective gloves, face masks etc and may be absorbed through the skin or fumes inhaled. Time spent by workers using them has to be logged and is limited to a number of hours a week.

Keep a packet in your overalls, spill it on a windy day, never wash your hands before having a fag or eating your sandwiches. Why do you not feel well?
