Sorry - just need to rant a bit.

Why is it that the blasted rabbits have munched my cabbages, sprouting brocc, caulis, kale, brussels sprouts, runners and radishes, yet I got to the plot today and found a big smelly pile of fox poo in the middle  :?

On the up side, they don't seem to care about curcubits or tomatoes, and my slug pub was overflowing after 48 hours.

Oh well, I've told hubby that I want contributions to a rabbit-proof fence for my birthday!

Don't blame you being    but have you tried using human hair ?.
    [I laughed too ] but it works. Ask a friendly hairdresser for some
waste clippings, wet small amounts  about the size of a ping pong ball, and  spread them around your cabbage patch. You need to wet the hair else it will blow away! Bunnies beware

dig a trench around your plot at least a foot deep and place your wire fence around the bottom then refill the trench, rabbits will nottry to dig past the fencing that is buried

Im with you - only Im tempted not to call them blooming rabbits. Rabbits have descimated beetroot, cabbage etc.  We have had to buy rolls and rows of wire.   We have had also to content with moles, pheasants and  foxes and now  to cap it all we have two legged thieves from the illegal travellers camp (x 2) just 50 yards down the road.  They (two legged) have cleared several strawberry harvests, two rows of potatoes, several sheds rifled etc.
AND no water on site either!  No locks on allotment gates!!
