Hi chris..you must be close to us.........Nantwich

Yes, not far - I live in Betley and teach an evening class and a few Saturday workshops at Reaseheath College!!! Only just moved here in September 2009 from North Yorkshire. Still finding my way around  ;)

Apologies to the rest of the folks here for hijacking thread .....!

I teach singing!!! Singing for non-singers, Singing for Fun etc, and also have a Saturday workshop coming up in June called Computercraft which is using Microsoft Word for arty crafty stuff! Nothing at all to do with gardening!

Funny, I've never associated Reaseheath with singing!

Reaseheath run a wide variety of adult education leisure courses and find it very difficult for people to think of them in any capacity other than horticultural. they run language courses and all sorts of stuff http://www.reaseheath.ac.uk/Home/AdultLeisureCourses/tabid/498/Default.aspx

Anyway, so far all my classes have run with the exception of yesterdays workshop. not surprised really as we have since discovered that a lot of schools are still on hols till next  week and so people are probably only just returning from their breaks about now!

Now then, I am a very pleasant lad from York.  I have a decent half plot on Holgate allotments.

Last night had Mrs H's famous Eve's Pudding made as Eve would have made it if she had tempted Adam with the first cut of mouthwateringly tender forced rhubarb instead of some manky apple.   Paradise on a plate.

So I withdraw earlier vote and plump for Eve's rhubarb pud instead!

I already voted CRUMBLE, and I'm sticking to it! The rhubarb crumble made this weekend, with home-grown fruit, was sublime... :tongue2: :tongue2:topped with thick Cornish cream and a scoop of home-made vanilla ice-cream. I want to cry!
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required
