Hi,
I planted four rows of Rocket early spuds nearly three weeks ago and so after not one of them has showed any sign of poking though the soil.
Am I just a bit impatient?
How long should it be from planting before they poke though.
Thanks

the soils still cold mate give em time i say

shaun is right
no need to panic relax and giv them some time they will be up when they are good and reddy
after all theres plenty to keep you bissy this month

agree soil is still cold, depending on how deep you planted them typically spuds can take 4-5 weeks to emerge. Don't worry they will come up and i wouldn't be too keen to see them yet as cold weather forecast and spud tops v sensitive to frost.

Ha, I think it had more to do with me than the spuds... they got water logged big time :D

Bought my rocket from Wilkos too. Starting to worry now as I knew the ground was still wet and cold but was so impatient.

rocket is slower to grow than some other earlies anyway i planted charlotte and rocket in deep pots in the shed the charlotte has been up two weeks and has about 8" growth and i moved them up to polytunnel the other day whilst the first shoots of the rocket are only just poking through
