Hi we need a bit of advice,  we are new to keeping chickens, bought four point of lays about 3 months ago everything was going well three of them laying every day but the fourth has not yet laid, when you go to touch her she does not squat like the others and for the past few weeks she/it has been making some strange noises!  it does not cluck! its almost like a crowing noise, plus it seems to keep opening its mouth.   We are starting to think that we have got a cockrel

hmmm as sassy has said you really need to post a piccy on here of the hen in question,  just to point out though not all hens squat,  none of mine do,    nickyx
