Title: miss salty died

well little miss salty died. i didn't have to take the decision to cull in the end. she saved me the heartache and passed away in her sleep. i got up at 2.30 this morning to check on her and she was gone. still warm to the touch so it must have happened a little while before....

she was one of two sisters we called the aunties. they talked non-stop and were as nosey as hell. and if any other chook did anything they disapproved of you could almost hear them tutting.

when we got them a boyfriend the poor thing ended up being called uncle.

i'll miss her....she was a darling i'd brought on since she was 4 weeks old.

RIP Miss Salty, now up in chooky heaven with all of our lost beloved babies.
