New Allotment
« on: January 10, 2018, 14:39 »
Hi, I see I am not the only one new here. That's comforting. I have just been given an allotment. No idea what I am doing but hey! only one way to learn. I have an apple tree and a plum tree on the plot and hope to grow rhubarb ( I am in the rhubarb triangle after all) amongst other things. Been cutting back the raspberries and hope to have it tidy ready for planting later. Just wanted to say hello.

An apple and a plum tree, as well as raspberries... that's a great start!!

Welcome to the site and congrats on your new lotty.

If you're thinking of pruning the fruit trees, leave the plum alone; it should be done in summer  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
