Happy hot cross bun day guys. :D

I sympathise Chrissie, it aggravates the hell out of me if I try a new recipe and it isn't much cop.

I have been using the GHK recipe for more years than I can remember and it never lets me down. And I add different spices and fruits. GHK rarely lets me down.

I also use Nigella's and Waitrose double choc chip and they are good doers.

Mum, I cheat and  use my bread maker for the dough.

You feel free to blame me petal. :D

Although I fear that the buns you consumed were of the  shop made variety.   And I would never  tempt you to eat those.

Chrissie, I am sure the birds will be happy with yours, I don't believe they are as bad as you say.

I remember one Easter when my mum tried to make hot cross buns, now they were rock hard, as in real rocks!  We were sent to the park with them to feed the ducks, after the third duck took a nose dive, we binned them and scarpered before the parky accused us of cruelty to the ducks.

My mum has always been the kiss of death to food of any description.
