Hi, i have used in the past but mixed compost with it. I had a lovely show of Freesias in pots. I am sure others will advise on other aspects of not having nutrients in it etc.

I mix it with general purpose compost as it's not the best quality. It helps to retain water as well as keep it crumbly for the seedlings roots to establish easier. I've also started seeds in modules using only coco coir.

First year i've used it, i'm happy with the results.

I use it every year Dan, mixed with mpc and perlite or vermiculite. Gives a nice open compost for seed sowing and potting on.

Just remember it has no nutrients of its own and so anything in it for more than a week or two needs feeding

Same here, first time I've used it, put a quarter of it in a big tub covered with hot water, didn't take long to rehydrate! I mix it in with potting compost, makes a really nice and light mixture. Tried small trays of mix against small trays of just potting compost, mix seems not to dry out as quick.
