Title: Stalkless globe artichokes!

Lots of leaves, but no stalks as of yet! Everything else is late too, but I was wondering if it was just me! This is only their third year... Was hoping for an artichoke feast this year!!! :nowink:

Ours are one year old this month! Very leafy, I put a load of horse manure around one and it is bright green, not far off fluorescent!

No flower buds here yet either, but everything is a month or so behind  ;)

Well, mine are only a year old and I noticed the flowers yesterday, nestling low down in the leaves, no stalk ???. Quite confused by this! ::)

ours are a year old , they got battered by the hard winter lost 2.

no flowers on ours yet.

I have flower buds!!! Thanks everyone, I get paranoid sometimes that it's just me.! We can't buy them in the town where we live, so I need my summer supply!
