Title: red hot pokers

Hi all quick one ive got some red hot pokers after waiting for ever to grow them now the leaves have gone a bit mad and straggly , should i pull out some of the older ones , ive pulled the damaged ones but theres still alot , i can see new ones trying to come through

they tend to die of over winter and re sprout in spring  "or at least mine do" digging out this year and going good riddance ! they tend to be messy imho.

Mine didnt die off at all wellthe flowers did but none ofvthe leaves , i think i will pull out some of the tatty ones.
the thing is they were one of those bags you get and wonder should i save my money as it looks half dead, oviousley it wasent .

got loads on plot,leaves do go mad and straggy and die back, just pull or chop back. bees love them when in flower. if you move them or divide, mine were a friends divisions they take a year to flower again.

Glad you said that as I have some I was given, and was hoping for a good display this year --- now I know!!

Mine had a long stork which had big seed pods , thats what they looked like , they fell off .
the leaves are messy ive just pulled out the worst .
