Jerusalem Artichokes

Hi

I grew these fine last year and I replanted some in Feb this year. They haven't sprouted out the ground yet though which seems abit odd. Anyone else had this problem?

Ok I'll give them longer, the beds covered in weeds because I don't know what is weed and what might be an artichoke shoot 

I've got them spread over quite alarge area (sort of went wild before I got the plot ) and have found they seem to grow in waves, have dug up ones with leaves 5 cm long and the next week more tiny leaves would be shooting up further along. I'd give the, some more time before losing hope 

don't worry they are like triffids once they start.

very true, and they'll keep repeating themselves in more ways than one 

I tried to root mine out a year ago but they've grown again!
I love them but they hate me!
