Anybody found anywhere for cheap seeds this year? I am looking mainly for herb and salad seeds, I usually get them from Fothergills I do not know if my wallet has shrunk this year or what, but they seem expensive this time round.

I did have a load stahsed in the garage from last year however a cheeky mouse has gotten in over winter an wreaked havoc in them, I need to go through them and see if any are still viable.

Any ideas anyone?

I always find Premier Seeds Direct very good value and their service is very efficient. They are to be found on eBay and now, I notice, Amazon too. Usually around 99p per pack and now they only charge one P&P of 57p (on eBay), regardless of how many packets you buy. One of the big companies, Moles I think, are always recommended but they have huge numbers of seeds in the pack, which isn't always what you want.

I'd recommend Premier too.  very good, quick delivery and the p&p is cheaper on ebay than it is on Amazon!

Not the greatest variety in the world, but enough for me!

I only just found out when I posted there, on checking if they did exist anywhere other than eBay, that they can be found on Amazon. I'd always buy through eBay anyway, but that could be useful to know for people who don't use eBay.

Just had a look at them on Amazon, I try to do more with Amazon than Ebay if I can, they have a great selection more than enough for me and what fantastic prices! Really pleased to have been told about these guys, on Amazon they charge a flat rate postage of 80p no matter how much you order, they'll do for me

I go the Ebay route as the p&p is only 57p no matter what, and that included 2 packets of broad beans which are a bit heavier than normal seeds.

Aldi has seeds at 49p a packet, and also our local cheap stores sell them 3 for £1, no choice of course, but for bog standard herbs and salad seeds they are fine.

I bought a load of the 3 for a £1 seeds last year from our local cheap shop, I did not have much success with them, but then again I did not have much success with anything last year!

Ahhhhhh I forgot all about Wilkinsons, this is where most of my garden stuff has come from over the last few years, how the heck did I forget!! Must be getting old! Anyway I do not think they are as cheap as Premier, I will pop into town on Monday and double check, I need a few other things that I can get from there, now I have been reminded about them

Premier Seeds are the bees knees, I've used them a lot on ebay, not only do you as a buyer get a better deal but they as a seller also get a better deal!
It's cheaper for them to sell on ebay than it is on Amazon, Amazon's selling fees are ridiculously high which is why sellers have to either charge more per item or hike up the postage costs, as Amazon also charge sellers a fee on the postage costs too I believe!
I've also found that the seed ranges in Poundland, Poundworld and 99p Stores etc. are pretty good value too.
