Last few items going on the Tesco gardening clear out, picked up a soil moisture meter and A Dobbies Stainless Steel Weeder for a £1 each at that price I bought one for the garden and one for the allotment. Bird houses £1.75 picked up one for my robin on the allotment

I think you scour supermarkets for these bargains, cadalot ;)
Thanks for the heads up :D
-
I went down for a top up shop, but always keep an eye on the seasonal section for reductions :D I do love a bargain :nowink: Next one will be the Wyevale 50p seed sale just waiting for a post on here before I go down to look
-
Yes, I love that one too :D :D

You could visit the one near me at Stapleton, just outside of Hinckley, we could meet there for a coffee :)

That would be nice Snowy. Then we can buy a load of seeds together :D

Hmm didn't know you knew me that well. Look it up & see if it is doable for you. Then I'll let you know as soon as the sale is on. I'm away for a week 12 th Sept

No Wyevales in London, thankfully!

Surbie - they are now called The Garden Centre and there is one in Lower Morden Lane and another one in Purley Way Croydon - both within easy reach of Kingston :nowink:
Baldy - Yes I am

I don't know why, but I thought you said Stapleford ::) Stapleton is a fair way from me as I am near Mansfield north of Nottingham. Will have to wait for a day when Pa is off as I am not that good with driving to places I don't know. Haven't done a lot of driving over the past 10 years
-
What one can you drive too? I could come to you, I drive all over :)
-
Ma, Hubby & I have been to Rufford Abbey today & on the way back I saw a sign for Stapleford & thought about you, is that where the nearest wyevale is to you?
-
Girls - I popped into my nearest one which still has the 50% Summer sale on and they had less than half the amount of seeds they had last year - come the end of the month I'm going to visit my next local one in Croydon.
Just a warning they may not have as much excess stock as last year

Oooo you could have called in for a coffee snowy on your way back we are only 3 miles from junction 28 on the M1 :D
I don't think there is one in stapleford I thought you said there was one but I need new glasses :D. I will have a look where the nearest one to me is and let you know but I am almost sure there isn't one.
Cadalot it's the coffee I am after more than the seeds as I made a big order with the seed place Surbie had linked to on here a month or two ago. :D
-
Ma
Rule 1 - You can never have too many seeds :nowink:
-
If I buy anymore seeds pa is going to sue for divorce. He already thinks I could open a seed shop with the ones I have <whispers> but don't tell him about the other seeds I have ordered from the allotment association or I'll be in deep trouble ::)
-
wyevale seed sale has started 50% off at moment
-
If it follows last year it will be 50p at the end of the month
-
Nearest Wyevale from me is south of Derby by the time I travel there I wouldn't have saved much :nowink:

In that case Ma we'll just have to meet up 1 day soon, perhaps when my current circumstances settle down.
