Pelleted seeds, has anyone used them and, if so, what were your experiences with them?

IMO it is called adding value , a tenth of the amount of seed for five times the price ! ;)
They do grow but not any better than the plain seed planted in the right conditions .

The commercial growers would use it if it was cost effective .

we tend to grow pelleted seed rather than ordinary seed depending where you buy the cost is no more expensive than ordinary seed but I've found my seed supplier has a limited number of pelleted seed
veg seed include parsnip carrot onion and leeks

i.'ve found pelleted seed is easier to sow for me as one gets older and I can see what I'm sowing no seed waste there are some flower seed pellets and they may be a bit more expensive depending on what your buying

the only downside i.ve found with pelleted seed is they tend to take a little longer to germinate but im told if you water the pellets when sowing with warm water it helps but i have to say i haven't tried that method never had any problem with pelleted seed germination

hope this info helps its you choice at the end of the day im only speaking from experiance with pelletd seed
