Carrot root fly

Is debris netting small enough to keep the fly out of the carrots ? I have never seen a Carrot fly, how big is it ?

No sorry you need enviromesh to stop the carrot fly

oh thats what i was going to use, a little re-think now i guess. I got a roll of clear plastic sheeting in the shed.

It's not very large at all. I don't notice it until I spot the damage with the new grubs growing into the carrot shoulders. Thankfully its not as bad a pest over here.
