I have brought loads of chillis home from the greenhouse today and dont know how to store them.
Do you dry them (if so how do you do it) or just stick em in the freezer?
No way I could eat em all in a couple of weeks!!

Last year I made 2 big ristras from all my chillis and hung them up in the kitchen and just let them dry out naturally. I also had a load more loose chillis that I just chucked in a bowl on the windowsill and they dried out fine like that too. In fact, I've still got loads of last year's left now and they're still good to use. Once they're dried you can just chop them up when you need them, or you can crumble them up and make chilli flakes or powder. Some people freeze chillis, but I prefer dried because they're so easy to use that way and they don't take up any freezer space. And I think ristras look quite nice hung up in the kitchen too.

Drying is the best.
but keep them in an airtight jar
out of the light.
Or they will go almost black.
We have dried bright red chillies
in the cupboard from three years ago.

Never heard of one until yesterday, so I scrounged some fishing line..... But it doesn't look quit as good as the pic I found!
