Net/mesh your peas.

An early sowing, late March/early April will avoid the worst of the moth. It's later sowings that suffer.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Pea moths lay their eggs on the base of pea flower buds. The maggots hatch in a few days and burrow into the forming pod. Once the pods are formed they are too tough for the maggots to burrow into.

The science of this is that you do not need to cover with a net until the buds are about to form and you can remove once all the flowers have grown into pods.

The moths are tiny so a fine mesh like enviromesh is needed.

In practice I leave the net on beyond pod formation as it also keeps pigeons off.
