I've started at the plot, the council wont cultivate it till october so I thought screw it I'll do it myself. I'll post some picies later ;)
-
 Our local council would never dream of cultivating any plots up here, look forward to the picies :)
-
neither would ours. They collect the rent that's all oh and cut the hedge if we beg, repeatedly
-

that's a lovely setting, and handy for the houses if that's where you live :D So, how far you got with it :D Mind you been a bit hot for hard work
-
NICE PLOT :D
No major problems there :!:
-
you'll be glad later that you did it yourself and didn't have all those weeds rotavated back into the soil!
-
I've cleared up to the rubarb, there are still some little plants here and there but I can clear those with a rake. Unfortunately I dont live in the houses at the back. Its only a 4 or 5 min car drive.

Huh?! I cant see the floor, the grass is up to my knees. Weeds everywhere, its terrible. Its even worse when you dig it up, some of the roots on the weeds are as thick as my thumb.
-
Well done on what you've done so far, ChilliMan - your plot looks like mine! And like you, no outside help with the digging. I've done about a quarter of my half-plot so far. What kind of soil do you have?? Mine is clay, which is setting like concrete in the sun...

Ooo, unlucky. My soil is Loam soil. So it stays soft, although it has loads of stones the size of your fit in it. Its easier work than clay soil, so I guess I'm a bit lucky.

Ours looked like yours, except behind all the grass was a thick wood of brambles - we didn't know we had a shed until we cleared them off ! And we're on clay soil, so it was a real party to clear
