Title: Leeks
Post by: Robert_S on March 05, 2012, 10:40
Morning all,

Just a couple of questions about leeks:

1/ OK to sow now (am doing the cat litter tray thing) (Musselburgh)

2/ Does the tray go straight outside? (haven't got a greenhouse / polytunnel yet)

Thanks for any help.

yep they asre fine to sow now, they dont need any heat the germiante, but if i where you id put the on a windowsill until they germinate, then move them outside and cover with fleece!

Mine were sown outside in a deep tray and put in one of those zip-up "greenhouses" but with the flap open because it was very humid in there.
First ones are showing after a week!
