Twisted top beak
« on: May 19, 2011, 19:29 »
When I was checking out Star today, I noticed that her top beak was not growing straight, it was trimmed when we got her.

I don't intend to do anything until she's brooding and just wondered what is the best way, if any, to deal with it.
May this day be blessed with gifts, understanding and friends.  Merlin 2001-2012 Pandora 2001-2013 xxx

Use an emery board, or a piece of fine glass paper wrapped around your finger :)

Thanks Casey, I thought that would be the solution :D

Could the abnormal growth be the result of the debeaking?

While it's possible, it is more likely that she had her beak trimmed because it was crooked.
