My 4 ex battery hens have realised that I am not a threat and they are all becoming so independent and confident.
3 weeks ago I was as scared as they were and wondered if I had made a mistake by getting hens.
A few comforting words on this site egged me on (forgive the pun!) and now my only worry is that in the winter I might not get as much time with them!
I love my girls! Especially Eggu, who is now growing feathers and has gone from being the most defensive to being the most loveable!!!
She hasn't put her head to the floor in the corner for a week now!
Sorry if I have bored you but I'm just so happy!

I'm really glad to hear that, Kaye.  Yes they are very endearing little things.  You quickly begin to wonder how you ever got by without the little dears in your life!
