 one of my ex battery hens has a divide in her feathers running form her chest bone to her bum.I can sea a rash in the middle of the gap there also no feathers in this gap.this may be from the cages this gap.the feathers are very unclean there is all so alto for retracting of this zone .this has any one seen this before.

why are they unclean? Is it just from the mud that most of us have got at the moment?
How long have you had them and did they come like that to you - in which case you may have to wait for the new feathers to grow. Sometimes if they have been kept in dirty conditions then their skin will have got burnt and scarred by their urine and in which case their feathers will not grow back in the scarred area.
Make sure you pooh pick regularly and clean them out often. Have you checked for lice?
