Hi hen huggers,
My poor wee hen got ill just before I went on holiday.  I'd taken her to the vet the night before we left and thought she would rally round. My good neighbour was looking after them for us but despite his best efforts she got worse.  He called to let us know he was taking her to the vet but she died.  We were so upset, two adults standing crying in the aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia My neighbour was so good and buried Solo in our garden.  We were so grateful to him for taking such good care of Hen Solo.  Our other hen Princess Laya was lonely so I got another 2 hens for her to play with - Blanche and Mabel.  They have settled in pretty well and I'm enjoying getting to know them but miss Solo - she was such a lovely wee hen!

it's sad when we lose are treasured friends, i still miss Lonely, but it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, at least that's the way i look at it and i'm sure Solo had a happy life with you.
