our pekin chicken is now a mother of 1 we're not sure if any of the other 4 eggs will hatch she hasnt been off them for the past 2 days. anyone have any idea wen she will give up on the other eggs nd start wondering round with her new chick?

Hi there!
Is there any evidence of pipping from the eggs? Have you managed to candle them recently?. Another clue is if you tap gently you might hear a chick inside -or if you  hear a sloshing sound this could mean that the egg is infertile and therefore may actually explode. Very unpleasant.
Congrats on your little chick! My broody has hatched 5 this weekend and two are Pekins.

well we cant get to the eggs cos she wont budge and we dnt want to scare her off. shud we just go for the eggs under her to make sure they havnt exploded?
