Help me with my chick identification please
« on: June 02, 2008, 19:49 »
I wonder if anyone can help me, we were visiting a farm and my wife found an egg inthe hen house it was about 2 1/2 to 3 inches in lenghth and white in colour. We had a broody hen at home so we popped it under her and it hatched in to a black/greyish chick with gold tips to its wings and a gingerish head woul any body have a clue as to what breed it may be?

Norty Norty Cliff taking Eggies!!!

PS

This is how you upload a piccy....

Posting pictures in a thread

Before you can post pictures on the forums, they will need to be JPG, GIF or PNG format and (a) on your computer and (b) hosted on the internet.

Your camera software will be able to transfer pictures onto your computer. If you've been sent one by email, simply right-click on it and choose Save As.

Many new members have problems posting pictures so here is the method many of us use:

The first thing to know is that your picture needs to be hosted out on the internet, many of us use Photobucket : http://photobucket.com/register.php

Before you upload to photobucket make sure your pictures are not too huge, I go for about 400 - 600 pixels wide. You can use software like this to resize your pictures: http://www.photo-freeware.net/pixresizer.php or http://www.vodahost.com/pix.htm

When you have uploaded your picture, you should copy the IMG tag from under the picture. This can be pasted directly into your posting. If you prefer to use the IMG button then ensure your browser is permitting popups & enter the http: address in the popup window.

Hope that helps, looking forward to seeing your pictures. Please contact a Moderator if you have any problems
