I don't know what feed to get before the chicken arrive. Layers pellets or mash

can you not ask what they are being fed at their current home.

mash and pellets both contain the same. i find less wastage with pellets. but in the winter, you can make warm mash to give the girls some central heating.

i feed mine layers pellets and mixed corn with scraps from the kitchen they free range and eat what they fimnd also!! good luck.

I give my hens both.

Pellets available all day, a nice warm mash for high tea and some mixed corn before bed time
