As you all may know, I lost one of my girls to, I think was sour crop.
We tried all 'home' remedies but it was too late :(
BUT...
Last night I came home to...

These girls...
OH didn't want me miserable. I noticed she'd posted questions on here on what to do etc..
And so decided to get a replacement (er, or two )

What a lovely thing to do
-
Oh you lovely man, and what a great choice you've made. Beautiful girls.
-
Hmmm, thats how it starts...then you end up with 70 odd chookies    my OH brings me a 'present' occassionally, when he sees a bird a bird he likes, and it would be churlish not to love 'em ;)

My wife decided on the breeds.
So, we now have...
1 light sussex
1 Goldline
1 Blue Haze
1 Penine Black Tail
And 1 Black Rock
There's no more space in the garden now for US!! :tongue2: :tongue2:
The chickens are taking over!.... What next, the world???

Oh, and I better ask now they're here as I know they're gonna be spoiled. ::)
What is a healthy weight of a chook??
Our first chooks will be about 22 weeks old now, and the new arrivals are 12 weeks old.
I don't want 'chunky' chooks. (they don't lay as I.ve been told) ::) ::)
-
Oh they are beautiful and knows to roost too!
-
Just checking them tonight, they're getting a bit bullied off our Goldline mainly, the others have had a peck yesterday but they don't now, just the Goldline! :(
Do you think it'll pass, or should I get some anti-pecking stuff??
