I am waiting for another hatch, and I was lucky last time that there were no problems. Could you explain how you would despatch a chick that could have/has problems or, is there a thread somewhere on the forum that deals with despatching chicks?

Sit down and have a cup of tea for the nerves. If I have deformed or sickly chicks I pull their heads off. I know it sounds horrible and it is, but it only takes a split second. One second they are there and the next, they aren't. :oops:
There are other ways to do it but they are equally as gruesome.
